Dr. Lora Hebert  MD  FACS

Dr. Lora Hebert is a fellowship trained breast surgeon who specializes only in the diagnosis, treatment and cure of breast cancer and disease.

Dr. Hebert possesses extensive and specific experience with breast surgical techniques and multidisciplinary care necessary for the best possible outcomes.  Dr. Hebert recognizes the emotional and psychological care she provides during breast cancer therapy is as important as the surgical procedures she performs.

After completing an M.D. at the University of Texas – Galveston Medical Branch, Dr. Hebert was selected into the highly regarded five year General Surgery residency at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, School of Medicine.

After completion of her general surgery residency, Dr. Hebert was then accepted into the highly regarded Breast Surgery Oncology Fellowship program at the University of California – San Francisco (UCSF).  Dr. Hebert studied and trained under  the founder and director of the fellowship program,  Dr. Laura J. Esserman M.D., a recognized pioneer and leader in the study and treatment of breast cancer.

Dr. Hebert’s Education and Advanced Training

  • Completed advanced oncology breast surgery Fellowship at the University of California Medical Center – San Francisco.
  • Completed five year general surgery residency at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
  • Graduated Medical School at the University of Texas – Galveston
  • Graduated undergraduate degree at San Diego State University.
